Requiem

With a thousand screams
And my shattered dreams
I leave this place behind.
With my broken heart
I play my faded part
And set off to try and find
What I am without,
Who I am within;
To know without a doubt
Where I should begin,
Where this path ends,
Who are my friends,
Why am I here,
And why do I fear?
Fear what I can't change,
And yet try to exchange
What I have for what I need;
And still I bleed.
Questions I've asked
Leave only blank stares.
The answers are masked
Because nobody cares.
So I sail for the sun
On a sea of mournful waves,
I search for the one
Whom I know saves.
