As Darkness Falls

You hate the world and all it holds,
Never follow the crowd or fit their molds.
Your innocence died a painful death,
With jaded eyes it breathed its last breath.
You hide it well behind a wall of pride,
But I can see you dying deep inside.
When surrounded by all the greed and hate,
You close your tired eyes and fight your fate.
But the forces against you are just too strong,
And sometimes what's right cant beat what's wrong.
So you shut everything out and build your walls
And shed your silent tears as darkness falls.
