A Glimpse Of Tomorrow

If you could take one glimpse into tomorrow,
Would you look for my warmth to greet you -
One taste of morning to soothe your sorrow,
A hint of something better peeking through?
Is there some comfort laying around the bend;
Would you have the courage to look and know?
Does it show you that your broken heart will mend,
Or are the scars you hold forever your silent foe?
Is that knowledge worth the risk that it might not be
A better day, but rather the darkened clouds of night?
I hope you find happiness, sunshine and harmony
And that all your dreams and wishes turn out alright.
Maybe, just maybe, you'll find me waiting there,
And all that you ever dreamed of is right beside.
Just maybe you'll fine a summertime free of care,
Or maybe a darker day born from deep inside.
Just one glimpse, one peek, one might-be sorrow,
One might-be ray of sunshine to somehow see you through -
If you could take one glimpse into tomorrow
Would you look for my warmth to greet you?
