Days Of You
Days of you grew short, until Time slipped by, and faster still. Memories made and moments lost; I
knew someday I'd count the cost Of loving you, but I never thought That cold would be your love once hot. Your love,
'tis now merely memory; I remember how you burned for me. But wintertime was coming fast, It's icy breath a deadening
blast. And the flames flickered, cold and dim As ice was forming, slick and grim. Time against us, heartbeats slowed Until
we reached the parting road. You went one way, and I the other; You swore that I would find another. But oh, the
winter winds were blowing, And you left me there, never knowing That another one would never come - But winter's
chill had left you numb. Will I forget you? Oh never, never! Days of you were the sweetest ever. Ah, but those days
are now gone, And I, oh I must travel on. The road is long, but looking through I can still remember the days of
you.
