Dare For Dare

Words pour, fresh blood -
Unstoppable crimson flood.
Pain leaking reddened tears,
Numbering untold fears.
Self-hate a strong force;
Follow the darkened course.
Think that you are free -
So much better than me?
Crimson flood runs dry -
'Tis your turn to cry.
You try to bear my pain;
Now you bleed the stain.
Not so easy, is it?
When you saw the sky lit
With the lightning bright,
Did you think that light
Shone brighter on you?
Did you think that true
Love was never meant
For me, so hell-bent?
Tell me, what do you know?
What do you have to show
For the life you live?
Is there something you give
To the world that is pure?
How long could you endure?
Hypocrisy is a double mirror;
Remove the plank to see clearer.
Go ahead, try to inhale
When all the air has turned stale.
Try to breathe, to think, to care -
Go ahead, try - dare for dare.
