There Are

There are times when the pain
Gets so strong you just stand there,
Watching as everything you loved
Falls at your feet, broken and bare.

There are days when all the tears
Just start falling and never cease.
You cry and yet they never fall,
You weep yet there is no release.

There are moments when your hopes
Are so crushed you cannot breathe.
And as the agony turns to deadly rage,
You pace the floor and silently seethe.

There are instances when your fury
Grows to the point where you break.
And you fall to your knees and scream,
And all you can do is cry and shake.

When you lie broken on the floor
With nothing left to hold you here,
You will find that you can survive,
And you will finally shed that tear.

Inside that tear flows all the hurt
And rage that you have ever known,
And the freedom that flows from it
Will heal your rocky heart of stone.

And you will move on in your life,
With your dreams once again rebuilt.
And as you walk through the world,
You will be free from pain and guilt.
