The River Swift
The River Swift flows on to the sea - Never tamed by man, neverending journey. From time gone before
to time come again, The endless cycle of sun and rain. A drop between the water-worn shores Has dropped before; as
long as time endures It will drop again, cycle complete. Jostled by others, drops to drops compete - Racing and swirling
to journey's end. Sight of the sea lies around that last bend, But journey continues up into the sky, Then back to
the river from clouds on high. The sea is the end of our mortal span; The clouds, eternity - where we all began. Time
is the River Swift; drops, people - you and me, Bound by the river and swept on to the sea.
